Robert Kennedy has more than 30 years of executive management experience in the telecommunications and software development industries. Prior to ShoreGroup, Mr. Kennedy co-founded NetSpeak Corporation in 1995, the industry pioneer and leader in IP telephony, introducing I-Tel, the world's first IP based Contact Center; WebPhone, its client-based application with over a million users; and securing a number of broad based IP telephony technology patents relating to the deployment of telephone systems and Contact Centers on IP networks. As Vice Chairman, President and Chief Operating Officer, he directed NetSpeak through its initial capitalization and IPO, product deployments, and developed strategic partnerships with leading companies such as Creative Labs, Bay Networks, Siemens, MCI and Motorola. Mr. Kennedy also served as the Executive Vice President and board member at TPI International (TPI), helping to build it into the nation's largest independent supplier of telecommunications equipment. Mr. Kennedy became the senior operating officer of TPI and as such managed its diverse operating companies having more than 14,000 employees. Mr. Kennedy is a highly seasoned industry veteran and visionary, having been directly involved in the telecommunications industry since the deregulation and the earliest stages of research and development in what is now the IP Telephony and VoIP industry. His business background encompasses the starting, building and financing of technology businesses including a number of private placements, public offerings and debt financing valued at over $650 million. Mr. Kennedy was honored as a "Star of the Industry" by Computer Telephony for his accomplishments in the telecommunications and Internet telephony fields. Today, as a part of the ShoreGroup team, Mr. Kennedy spearheads the strategy to successfully market, implement and maintain converged networks. |
