Robert Draim
Vice President, Littoral Combat Ship C4ISR programs
Robert Draim is responsible for the execution of all General Dynamics Advanced Information System Littoral Combat Ship programs and for building the capture strategy for future Littoral Combat Ship programs. Draim joined General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems in April 2002. His previous assignments included vice president of Navy Strategic Initiatives, vice president of Strategy and Business Development for the Maritime Digital Systems strategic business unit and director of Program Integration. Before joining the company, Draim spent more than 30 years in positions of increasing responsibility in the U.S. Department of the Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command. He was a member of the Senior Executive Service for over fifteen years. His last assignment was command executive for Force Protection and Anti-Terrorism. Other significant Senior Executive Service assignments included executive director for Cost Estimation and Industrial Policy; executive director and deputy commander for Logistics, Maintenance and Industrial Operations; executive director for Engineering and deputy chief engineer; deputy program manager and technical director for Strategic Submarine Programs and program manager for Strategic Submarine Programs. He served as the Source Selection Authority and as a member of Source Selection Advisory Committees and Source Selection Evaluation Boards for numerous critical Navy acquisitions. Prior to his joining the Naval Sea Systems Command, Draim was employed by Bell Telephone Laboratories. Draim earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University, a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University, an MBA from Loyola College and attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Draim is a member of the Navy League, the American Society of Naval Engineers, the Navy Submarine League and other professional and trade associations.
