Robert de Metz was appointed Senior Executive Vice President, Strategy and Development in April 2005. Prior to this position he served as Senior Executive Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions, of Vivendi since September, 2002.
He is a graduate of IEP (Paris institute of political studies) and of ENA (Ecole Nationale d’Administration) and a former treasury official with France's General Inspectorate of Finance.
He previously served as a fund manager.
Robert de Metz was a member of the Executive Board of Paribas from 1997-2000, where his main responsibilities included taking charge of many mergers and acquisitions.
