Robert Conlee was one of the original leaders involved in developing many of Nu Skin Enterprises’ Asian markets. He is an expert in North Asia affairs, with strong expertise in Japan. Currently, Mr. Conlee and his family reside in Tokyo where he serves as president of the North Asia region. In this role, he oversees the Japan and Korea operations. In just 11 years since Nu Skin Enterprises entered the Japanese market, Japan sales were nearly 65 billion yen in 2003. Nu Skin Japan is also currently ranked the third largest network marketing company. As of January 2004, Mr. Conlee assumed the role of representative director and president of Nu Skin Japan Co., Ltd. Mr. Conlee served as the regional vice president for North Asia from June 2001 to August 2003. During that time he temporarily assumed responsibility for Taiwan and held an interim position as the president of Big Planet, the company’s technology division. Prior this appointment, Mr. Conlee served as chief operating officer and senior vice president of marketing and sales at the newly acquired Pharmanex nutritional division in 2000. In this capacity, he helped lead the international introduction of the Pharmanex division and its products to most of Asia and Europe. Mr. Conlee was instrumental in implementing new automatic reorder programs, personal web initiatives, and helped establish Pharmanex scientific advisory boards in each region. Previously Mr. Conlee served as the vice president of operations for Japan during his second expatriate assignment in Japan, a position he held from 1996 to 1999. At this time Japan was a key geography in Nu Skin Asia Pacific, the entity the company took public in 1996. He began his career with Nu Skin Enterprises in 1990, starting in international development. After only two years, Mr. Conlee moved from the company’s Utah offices to Japan in preparation for the opening of Nu Skin Japan in 1993.
