Robert Brinkerhoff is Professor Emeritus at Western Michigan University and a Senior Consultant with Advantage Performance Group. He is an internationally recognized expert in training evaluation and effectiveness and has been a consultant to dozens of major companies and organizations in the United States, South Africa, and Europe. He is the author of many books, including Telling Training’s Story: Evaluation Made Simple, Credible and Effective (2006). The Success Case Evaluation Method (SCM) is an innovative evaluation of learning interventions that relies on qualitative feedback to help understand an organization’s training effectiveness. The SCM approach takes the top and bottom adopters (those who use the new knowledge/techniques vs. those who do not) of a particular intervention and compares differences in the two extremes. SCM also allows for deeper qualitative insights on barriers to usage of particular training interventions. |
