Robert S. Silberman has been a director since December 2004 and is a member of the Compensation Committee and Public Policy Committee. Mr. Silberman has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Strayer Education, Inc., a leading provider of graduate and undergraduate degree programs focusing on working adults, since February 2003 and its Chief Executive Officer since March 2001. Mr. Silberman was Executive in Residence at New Mountain Capital, LLC from August 2000 to March 2001. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Silberman served as President and Chief Operating Officer of CalEnergy Company, Inc., a California independent energy producer, and in other capacities. Mr. Silberman has also held senior positions within the public sector, including U.S. Assistant Secretary of the Army. In addition to Strayer Education, Inc., Mr. Silberman serves on the Board of Directors of Surgis, Inc. and NewPage Holding Corporation. Mr. Silberman is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. |
