Robert R. Hinckley

Government and External Relations
Robert Hinckley was named senior vice president, government and external relations in January 2006 after serving as vice president government and external relations since July 2004. He has more than 20 years of experience in media relations, and health and government policy.
Most recently, he served as senior deputy secretary to New York State Governor Pataki in the areas of health and human services. Prior to serving in the governor's office, Bob worked for the New York State Department of Health (DOH) -- first as the director of public affairs, then as the deputy commissioner for operations. While employed with the DOH, he was responsible for the agency's communications, advertising, operations, and served as a senior policy advisor to the state health commissioner. Additionally, Bob has held positions with the State Office of General Services and the State Comptroller, where he worked as deputy press secretary under Ned Regan.
Bob holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Colgate University. He currently serves as vice chair of the Commission on Healthcare Facilities in the 21st Century, and also on the executive board of the American Marketing Association (AMA). |
