Robert Thomas joined Sullivan & Cromwell in 1969 and has been a partner since 1975. His practice has focused primarily on securities and project finance. In the course of hundreds of securities transactions, he has gained wide-ranging experience in the securities law field, both international and domestic. He has represented issuers, investment banks and merchant banks, as well as other participants, in securities transactions. A large part of Mr. Thomas's practice has involved trans-border transactions for private and public companies and governments and government agencies in China, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Botswana, Australia, Singapore and the Philippines. These have included most kinds of securities, including primary and secondary cross-border transactions in the U.S. registered, private placement and 144A markets, as well as the Euromarkets.
