Robert Maurer leads licensing and business development for the company and has over 30 years of experience in new product commercialization and business development in diagnostics, therapeutics, and life science products. He has done numerous out-licensing, in-licensing, and collaboration agreements during his career. Robert’s experience includes the CEO position at Altagene, a start-up molecular diagnostics company, and Robert was Vice President of Business Development at Ciphergen Biosystems, where he created the diagnostics and pharmaceutical services businesses. Earlier, Robert was Vice President of Business Development at Avigen Corporation, Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Promega Corporation, and was the business co-founder, COO/CFO and later COO at Molecular Geriatrics Corporation (now Applied Neurosolutions). He began his career with seventeen years at Abbott Laboratories, Diagnostics Division, where he had management positions in sales, marketing and strategic planning. He is best known for setting up the East Asia country organizations in diagnostics. Robert holds a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Carleton College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. |
