A partner in Lindquist & Vennum’s Insurance and Financial Services Practice Group, Bob assists insurance and financial services companies with regulatory and compliance issues. He also provides counsel on transactions and governmental affairs.Bob formerly worked at American Express Financial, where he was vice president of Regulatory and Industry Affairs, representing the company on legislative, regulatory and trade association matters. He began his legal career as assistant general counsel to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin. In 1987, he was appointed Wisconsin Deputy Insurance Commissioner by Governor Tommy Thompson. Bob is former chair of the Minnesota Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association. He was also a member of the boards of the Greater Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce, the Minnesota Chapter of the ALS Association and the Wisconsin Election Board. He was registered by the NASD as a Series 24 Principal and was a member of the NASD Bank-Broker Dealer Committee. |
