Robert L. Atkins Vice President and Treasurer Pre-need Robert L. Atkins, Jr. is AVP, Treasurer for Atlanta Life Insurance Company. Mr. Atkins has more than eighteen years in the insurance industry. He has predominantly worked in the Corporate Finance and M&A sector for several insurance companies. He began his insurance career as a Financial Analyst in CIGNA's Special Risk department located in Philadelphia. Robert also served as a Director, Corporate Development in UNUM's Related Businesses Group in Portland, ME. He also was AVP, Channel Marketing and Finance at Colonial Life & Accident, a UNUM subsidiary, in Columbia, S.C. Prior to working in the insurance industry, Robert was an Over-the-Counter stock trader with Oppenheimer & Co. in New York, N.Y. Robert received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bowdoin College in 1979 and an MBA from the Kenan Flagler Graduate School of Business in Chapel Hill, N.C. in 1985. |
