Robert L. Roe, M.D. joined us as President in October 2001. He has spent more than 30 years in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. From 1999 to 2001, Dr. Roe served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Allergenics, Inc. From 1996 to 1999, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and a director of Cytel Corporation. From 1995 to 1996, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and a director of Chugai Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. From 1992 to 1995, Dr. Roe served as President of the Development Research Division and Senior Vice President of Syntex Corporation. Dr. Roe received his A.B. from Stanford University and his M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco. |
