Before establishing Kaufman Bros., Mr. Kaufman was a vice president and co-founder of the Special Markets Group at Imperial Bank in Silicon Valley. The Special Markets Group is a focused venture-banking practice providing secured credit facilities, bridge loans, acquisition financing and equity investments to venture capital-backed technology companies. Mr. Kaufman was also a key player in the financing of technology startups while working as an assistant vice president in Silicon Valley Bank's Technology Group -- a leading nationwide technology banking practice.
