Mr. Allison is presently the Chairman Emeritus and a director of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Following a 14-year career with Amoco Production Company Mr. Allison joined Anadarko in 1973 as VP of Operations. He was named President and a member of the board of directors in 1976. He was named Chief Executive Officer in 1979 and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Anadarko in 1986. In January 2002 Mr. Allison transitioned to a full-time position of Chairman of the Board. From March until December of 2003 he also served as President and Chief Executive Officer. He is an associate member of The University Cancer Foundation Board of Visitors of The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He received his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Kansas. Mr. Allison has been an FCX board member since 2001. |
