Robert Watson is Chief Executive Officer of ProLogis European Properties (PEPR), a public fund trading on the Euronext stock exchange in Amsterdam. Mr. Watson has overall responsibility for the fund, which owns more than 280 distribution facilities comprising more than 58 million square feet (5.4 million square meters) in 11 countries throughout Europe.
From 2004 to 2006, Mr. Watson was President and Chief Operating Officer of North America, where he had responsibility for all operations throughout North America, including customer service through ProLogis marketing services and client services groups. In addition, he had responsibility for ProLogis’ North American fund management business and served on the Executive Committee, responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company and monitoring its implementation and progress.
From 1999 to 2004, Mr. Watson was President and Chief Operating Officer of Europe. Prior to that, he directed the company’s North American Real Estate Operations. Mr. Watson has been at ProLogis since November 1992, when he was responsible for ProLogis’ Global Development Group overseeing both new inventory development and customized development of Corporate Distribution Facilities for many of the world's largest users of distribution facilities. He has also overseen Client Services Inc., ProLogis’ property management organization.
Before joining ProLogis, Mr. Watson spent nearly 19 years with real estate provider Trammell Crow Company, where he was a member of the Management Board and Regional Partner responsible for commercial/industrial development, leasing and management activities in the inter-mountain and southwestern United States. Mr. Watson received his M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and his B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University. |
