As Chief Financial Officer, Robert Simmons has made significant contributions to E*TRADE FINANCIAL's evolution through his disciplined approach to transparent financial reporting and the optimization of capital structure and capital allocation. Mr. Simmons' prudent financial management and relentless focus on cash flow is a fundamental component of E*TRADE FINANCIAL's ongoing success.
Mr. Simmons joined E*TRADE FINANCIAL as Corporate Treasurer in 2001 and became Chief Financial Officer in January 2004. Prior to his tenure at the Company, he held positions in corporate finance at public companies including Bank of America, Oracle Corporation and Iomega Corporation. Mr. Simmons co-authored an influential article addressing financial disclosure issues titled "Killing Trickle-down Investor Relations with Technology." He has served as the Chairman of the Association for Financial Professionals, and holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS magna cum laude from Brigham Young University. |
