As VeriSign executive vice president for Corporate Development and Strategy, Bob Korzeniewski is responsible for providing a consistent strategy and focus for investments and merger-and-acquisition activity. He also directs the Company's Policy Group. Under his leadership, the Company has completed approximately 40 acquisitions and extended their strategic relationships with key technology partners.
Mr. Korzeniewski served from 1996-2000 as chief financial officer of Network Solutions, Inc., which was acquired by VeriSign in June 2000. In that role, he provided strategic direction to the company with regard to finance and investor relations, and oversaw all administrative functions. In 1997, Mr. Korzeniewski led the company through a successful Initial Public Offering, and under his leadership, Network Solutions realized record revenues and profitability. In 1999, he won the honor of "CFO of the Year" at the Greater Washington Technology CFO Awards, for outstanding contributions to the company's performance.
Mr. Korzeniewski came to Network Solutions from SAIC, where from 1987 to 1996, he held a variety of senior financial positions including sector controller for the company's Information Technology business, chief financial officer for the company's Commercial and International business, and corporate vice president for Mergers and Acquisitions. Prior to his tenure at SAIC, Mr. Korzeniewski worked as corporate controller for Halifax Corporation, a publicly traded consulting company.
Mr. Korzeniewski currently serves on the Board of Directors for Talk America Holdings, Inc. and Kintera, Inc. He also serves on the Board of privately held TEOCO, as well as ERPI.net and is actively involved with a number of charities including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
Mr. Korzeniewski holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Salem State College, and is a certified public accountant. |
