Robert J. Ingato is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT), a leading global commercial and consumer finance company.
He is the company’s Chief Legal Officer and is responsible for overseeing all legal, compliance and corporate governance matters for CIT and its operating groups.
Ingato joined CIT as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel in 1999. Prior to CIT, he held executive positions at Newcourt Credit and AT&T Capital where he served as General Counsel.
He received his JD degree with honors from Cornell Law School and his BS degree in Business Administration with honors from Bucknell University.
He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Liberty Science Center and the New Jersey Historical Society. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Morris County American Heart Association. |
