Dr. Tien was the Director of Houston Innovation Center, while Dr. Pao served as its Chairman.
He was a senior research scientist at the Fundamental Research Lab of the U.S. Steel Corporation, Pittsburgh, USA; and carried out research projects in fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
He received his Ph. D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, USA.
Dr. Tien was born in Beijing, and speaks fluent Mandarin and English. |
