Robert H. Baldwin began a long and successful career in gaming with Mirage Resorts, Inc. in 1982, initially serving as President and CEO of the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, Nevada. From 1989 to May of 2005, Baldwin was responsible for the design, development and operation of three major properties on the Las Vegas Strip: The Mirage, Treasure Island, and Bellagio.
Following the company’s merger with the MGM in 2000, Mr. Baldwin was appointed President and CEO of Mirage Resorts, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of MGM MIRAGE. The Mirage Resorts subsidiary currently consists of Bellagio, The Mirage, Treasure Island, New York-New York, Monte Carlo, Circus Circus, Slots-A-Fun, and Boardwalk Hotel and Casino, all in Las Vegas, Nevada; Circus-Circus and Silver Legacy in Reno, Nevada; Gold Strike in Tunica, Mississippi, and Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Mr. Baldwin is also responsible for overseeing the creation of Project CityCenter, a multi-billion dollar, mixed-use urban development project currently underway on the central Las Vegas Strip. Project CityCenter is the largest privately funded development in U.S. history and is expected to significantly accelerate the evolution of Las Vegas into a sophisticated multi-dimensional city.
Mr. Baldwin was appointed to the Board of Directors of MGM MIRAGE in 2000, where he continues to serve as a board member. |
