Prior to rejoining Crowe & Dunlevy in September 2005, Robert McCampbell served as United States Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma from 2001 to 2005. As U.S. Attorney, Mr. McCampbell was particularly active as a courtroom prosecutor and successfully tried several cases including trials for securities fraud, illegal internet drug prescriptions by a physician, homicide, and child prostitution. Mr. McCampbell is also an experienced civil trial lawyer having tried cases in the areas of contracts, insurance, competitive bidding, commercial leases, distributorship, breach of warranty, trade secrets, construction, covenant-not-to-compete, and personal injury. After graduating from Yale Law School, Mr. McCampbell was an Associate with Crowe & Dunlevy from 1983 to 1987. From 1987 to 1994, he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, primarily in the prosecution of financial crimes such as bank fraud, tax fraud, wire fraud, and securities fraud. In 1994, he returned to Crowe & Dunlevy where he was a civil and criminal trial lawyer until 2001 when he was nominated by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate to be United States Attorney. Mr. McCampbell is listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Best Lawyers in America, and Oklahoma Super Lawyers. He has received honors and awards from numerous organizations including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Department of Justice, the City of Oklahoma City, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. |
