Robert G. Ellis, Vice President and General Counsel, has been with Alter Trading Corporation and its affiliated entities since 1991. In his current capacities, Mr. Ellis is responsible for the management and oversight of all legal matters involving the company, including but not limited to all litigation, contracts, corporate filings, and regulatory compliance. He also serves as General Counsel for the company's affiliated entities including Alter Barge Line, Inc., Alter Company, River/Gulf Grain Company, and Blackhawk Fleet, Inc. Mr. Ellis received a B.A. degree with Phi Beta Kappa honors in political science and economics from Iowa State University, and a J.D. degree from the University of Iowa College of Law. He has been a licensed member of the Iowa bar since 1984. He was engaged in the private practice of law for seven years prior to joining Alter. |
