Engaged in the practice of law since 1965, Bob practices primarily in: Income tax for partnerships and LLCs Estate, business, and tax planning Postmortem trust and probate administration Medicaid protective special-needs trusts Charitable-gift strategies Bob is an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, where he teaches or has taught courses about income tax for partnerships and LLCs; wills and trusts; advanced estate planning; and charitable gifts and foundations. Bob is a frequent speaker to estate-planning professionals. During the last 15 years he has given more than 30 presentations for Minnesota Continuing Legal Education, including Partnership Income Tax for the Trusts and Estates Practitioner: A Checklist, at the 2007 Minnesota Probate & Trust Law Conference. In 2002, Bob helped establish and presented at the Minnesota CLE’s Charitable Planning Institute; in 2003, he helped establish and moderated at Minnesota CLE’s first seminar on Income Taxation for Estate Planners; and in October 2003, he gave the case-law update at Minnesota CLE’s Elder Law Institute. He founded and is past president of the Dakota County Legal Aid Society, as well as past president of the Dakota County and First District bar associations. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
