Bobby Byrd has more than 20 years of experience handling commercial litigation, creditors' rights and bankruptcy, real estate litigation and insurance litigation. Mr. Byrd's practice is heavily concentrated on representing banks, commercial finance companies, special servicers and other lending institutions in connection with non-performing commercial loans, including judicial foreclosures, claim and delivery actions, bankruptcy proceedings, guaranty actions and lender liability actions. He also has considerable experience handling landlord-tenant disputes, partnership disputes, real estate litigation and other types of commercial litigation. He represents insurance companies in bad faith actions and other first-party insurance litigation. Mr. Byrd is admitted to all state and federal courts in South Carolina, as well as the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. While at the University of South Carolina, Mr. Byrd was a member of the South Carolina Law Review.
