Background and Experience: Bob is a shareholder, and his practice areas include corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financing and all aspects of federal income tax law. He has been profiled in Corporate Counsel Magazine as one of the best corporate lawyers in Nevada and has also been listed in The Best Lawyers in America in both corporate law and tax law since 1989. Education, Professional Affiliations and Interests A former Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University, where he taught classes in Corporate Reorganizations, Bob currently teaches a class in the MBA program at the University of Nevada, Reno. Additionally, he co-authored numerous materials for CLE presentations on federal income tax law and the formation and operation of Nevada business entities. He is a former Chairman of the Tax Section of the State Bar of Nevada. With enthusiasm and a continued support for his community, Bob is involved in a number of local organizations. He serves as the Chairperson of Research Venture, Inc., a non-profit corporation, and holds equity interest in start up companies incubated at the University of Nevada, Reno, and the Desert Research Institute (DRI). He is also a member of the DRI Research Park Board of Directors and a founding member of the Sierra Angels and Vegas Valley Angels. Bob received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (majoring in accounting) from the University of Florida. He has a LL.M. in Taxation from McGeorge School of Law and is a Certified Public Accountant. Bob is a member of the Washoe County and American Bar Associations and the State Bar. |
