Mr. Hedges is the Founder and Managing Partner of Mercatus LLC, a private equity and strategy consulting firm focused on the retail financial services marketplace.
Prior to Mercatus, Mr. Hedges spent more than twelve years in senior operating and leadership roles at Shawmut Bank, FleetBoston Corporation, and Fidelity investments. His responsibilities have included business strategy development, product management, distribution and sales management, and overall business unit performance for a broad set of retail business lines. Mr. Hedges also served as the Chairman of NYCE, the regional ATM network.
In addition to his senior operating roles, Mr. Hedges has more than ten years consulting experience at The MAC Group/Cap Gemini and First Manhattan Consulting Group. He has also authored numerous articles, and the book BottomLine Banking with former Bank One CEO, John McCoy.
Mr. Hedges received his Master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management and his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. |
