Robert B. Vasta is chief operating officer of Architech Corporation, a proven provider of systems design, software development, integration and customer-experience testing. Rob oversees all day-to-day operations of Architech. His responsibilities include creating and building strong customer relationships, ensuring all projects meet or exceed customer expectations and implementing companywide procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiencies.
"My goal is to ensure that everything that Architech does across the organization is ultimately designed to continually enhance the value we bring to our clients," Rob said.
Rob joined Architech in November 2000 as a project manager. His successes in that role included managing the company’s gradually expanding relationship with Verizon. For example, Rob oversaw Lotus Notes and Java development teams for Verizon. Then, he led the creation of a testing process that evaluated not only the software being used by Verizon but also the training, methods and procedures, and workflow supporting the solutions. Rob established a partnership with Verizon’s information technology (IT) department to manage releases, and the customer subsequently mandated that the process be adopted by all of its enterprise-focused business organizations. Rob was promoted to Architech’s chief operating officer in June 2004.
Before joining Architech, Rob spent six years with Sprint in its IT organization. In 1998, he won Sprint’s Extraordinary Achievement Award and, in 1999, the Sprint Values Excellence Annual Award. After five years of excelling as a software engineer, Rob was promoted to supervisor of systems development in 1999. Earlier in his career, Rob had worked as an engineer on the technical team with Logicon, Inc., where he earned the U.S. Navy’s AEGIS Excellence Award in 1993.
Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. |
