Appointed to the Board in 2005 and elected in 2006. Since January 2003, Mr. Ingram has been the Vice Chairman, Pharmaceuticals of GlaxoSmithKline plc, a corporation involved in the research, development, manufacturing and sale of pharmaceuticals. Mr. Ingram was Chief Operating Officer and President, Pharmaceutical Operations of GlaxoSmithKline plc from January 2001 until his retirement in January 2003. Prior to that, Mr. Ingram was Chief Executive Officer of Glaxo Wellcome plc from October 1997 to December 2000; and Chairman of Glaxo Wellcome Inc., Glaxo Wellcome plc's United States subsidiary, from January 1999 to December 2000. Mr. Ingram is also Chairman of the Board of OSI Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biotechnology company, and Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, and is a director of Edwards Lifesciences Corporation, Lowe's Companies, Inc. and Wachovia Corporation. In addition, Mr. Ingram is Chairman of the American Cancer Society Foundation and the CEO Roundtable on Cancer. |
