Mr. Munro has over 29 years of experience in business management, sales, business development, and relationship management, 16 of those years in the physical/electronic security markets. Originally a native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Munro began his career in the security industry in 1992 in access control systems and has an extensive background in low-voltage systems. Prior to joining videoNEXT, Mr. Munro served as National Accounts Manager for Infrastructure Solutions at Verint Systems Inc., where he developed large strategic relationships with many of the nation’s largest IT and security distribution companies.
Prior to Verint, Mr. Munro held several management positions at PSA Security Network. As Director of Business Development at PSA, he was responsible for recruiting new security integrators into the group. Over that time Mr. Munro successfully doubled the PSA membership. He was then asked to take on the role of Vice President of Sales where he developed innovative programs that increased both PSA membership and PSA revenues. Mr. Munro created and managed a four person regional sales team that led to the successful growth of the organization.
Prior to PSA, Mr. Munro served as Vice President of Distribution with IDenticard Systems, Inc. During his 11 year tenure at IDenticard Mr. Munro built a nationwide independent sales representative network that through his leadership created a network of 300 dealer locations throughout North America that grew the business 15 fold. His responsibilities also included leading the product management group as they developed a new from the ground up access control system, corporate training, and international sales.
Mr. Munro received a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a BA degree in Psychology, both from Grove City College. |
