Rob Killen is an associate attorney at Kaufman & Associates. Since joining the firm in 2001, he has represented a variety of commercial and residential developers, property owners, and business associations before the City of San Antonio and surrounding municipalities on issues such as zoning, development, permitting, annexation, vested rights, non-conforming rights, and other land use matters.
In addition, Rob has represented clients during the adoption of new ordinances by municipalities, including the City of San Antonio Tree Preservation Ordinance and Corridor Ordinance, and sign and development ordinances proposed by neighboring municipalities, including Leon Valley, Balcones Heights, Schertz, and New Braunfels. He continues to monitor and evaluate proposed changes to the San Antonio Unified Development Code, adopted in 2001.
Rob attended both high school and college in San Antonio. While pursuing his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio, he was actively involved in a number of extracurricular activities and community service. In law school, Rob served as Articles Editor on the law review. His paper on school dress codes was selected for publication in the law review, and has been cited on this subject by other authors. Rob continues to stay active in the community, within the San Antonio Bar Association, and with the UTSA Alumni Association.
