As Executive Vice President, Product Development and Strategic Sourcing for Toys "R" Us, U.S., Rick Ruppert is responsible for increasing private label brands penetration for the company, as well as overseeing product development and global sourcing. Appointed to the role in December 2006, Mr. Ruppert will work with his team to identify leading toy trends with global relevance and integrating these trends at the store level. He is also a member of the Toys "R" Us, Inc. Executive Committee.
Rick spent the last six years at The Limited Brands serving as the Senior Vice President for the Beauty division of Victoria's Secret. During his tenure, Mr. Ruppert was in charge of all global sourcing, production, strategic purchasing and operations planning for the company's internal brands, including Bath & Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Henri Bendel, Pink, C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries, White Barn Candle Company and Slatkin Candles. Mr. Ruppert also held management positions at General Motors, Franklin Mint, Jet Aviation and The Walt Disney Company.
Mr. Ruppert received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Drexel University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. |
