Rick Rinehart leads Sun Microsystems' Global Customer Services-Americas (GCS) organization which is responsible for providing services to Sun customers and employees in the U.S. Canada and Latin America.
Rick joined GCS-Americas in February 2008 from Sun Federal Services where he was Senior Director. In this role he worked closely with the Sun Federal Leadership Team and played a pivotal role in supporting Sun Federal in achieving four consecutive quarters of sustained revenue growth. During his tenure the Sun Federal Services team led the Americas in onsite CFI in three of the past four quarters and exceeded revenue and gross margin targets for both support and professional services in FY07.
Rick joined Sun as part of the StorageTek acquisition where he led the federal government services sales and delivery functions with responsibility for both Support Services and Professional Services. He also spent seven years with NCR Government Systems in a similarsales-services leadership role and worked at AT&T earlier in his career. Rick also served in the U.S. Army for 10 years. He holds a B.S. in Information Systems from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Central Michigan University.
Rick currently resides in Elkridge Maryland with his wife Roxanne and son Alex where he can often be found hitting the road for a run or at the nearby stables with his horses. |
