Rick Frier is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Catalina Marketing Corporation, and is responsible for the company’s worldwide financial functions, audit, tax and budgeting groups, as well as investor relations.
Most recently, Frier served as chief financial officer and chief operating officer of Mattress Discounters, a portfolio company within Bain Capital, from 2001 to March 2005. While at Mattress Discounters, Frier led the organization’s successful operational and financial restructuring. Prior to that, he built the financial infrastructure for software development company Concept Five Technologies, developing a strategic growth plan that grew revenue by 115%.
Before joining Concept Five, Frier served as vice president and chief financial officer for Caliber Learning Network and vice president of finance and treasurer for Treasure Chest Advertising Company. Both companies were successful IPOs. Additionally, Frier served as assistant vice president, corporate banking, for Wells Fargo Bank. He began his career with General Dynamics.
Frier received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, and his MBA from the Claremont Graduate School. |
