Richard is a tax partner in the Brownsville office of Burton McCumber & Cortez, L.L.P. Richard graduated from Pan American University Brownsville in 1978 and received his Certified Public Accountant certificate in 1985.
EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, in 1982, Richard worked for Milton J. White, C.P.A., a local public accounting firm, where he concentrated on general tax and write up services. While with Grant Thornton, Richard was a tax manager in the Brownsville office.
Richard has experience in all areas of taxation. He specializes in State taxation, employment taxes and maquiladoras and is the firm’s contact partner in matters relating to State and employment tax issues, including U.S. employees working in Mexico.
