Richard MacMillan joined LHC Group in April 2007 to provide general legal services to the company and to oversee contracting governmental reporting and compliance functions. His prior legal experience includes health care business organizations and transactions mergers and acquisitions certification and licensure matters Medicare reimbursement issues and appeals for hospitals physicians home health agencies and other health care providers. In addition to being licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Mississippi Richard is also a licensed Registered Nurse in both states.
Mr. MacMillan is a member of the National Rural Health Association and a Past-President of the Louisiana Rural Health Association. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Association for Ambulatory Healthcare and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association the Health Law Sections of the Louisiana and Mississippi State Bar Associations and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Prior to joining LHC Group Mr. MacMillan was an Attorney with the Gachassin Law Firm based in Lafayette Louisiana. |
