Richard Hersher has over 30 years of diversified manufacturing experience. He has held positions as General Manager, Vice President-Operations, Plant Manager, Manager of Quality Control and Industrial Engineer. His primary expertise centers on quickly improving operating efficiencies and reducing labor costs through improved plant operations and information and materials management.
Richard has a comprehensive background in operations management, with particular emphasis on lean manufacturing and concurrent engineering. He has worked in numerous industries, including electronic component manufacturing and assembly, basic steel manufacturing, cut and sew operations, liquid and aerosol filling, paint manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication, machining, printed circuit board manufacturing, die casting, aluminum extrusion, injection and extrusion plastic molding and printing.
Among Richard's extensive list of successful turnarounds include a leading manufacturer of high speed sorting equipment experiencing schedule attainment problems, where his initiatives included relocation of engineers to the shop floor to improve information flow and the rationalization of sub-assemblies.
An MBA from the University of Chicago was awarded to Richard. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from the University of Cincinnati.
