As an example, through his proactive tax reorganization strategies, Richard’s recommendations recently resulted in the elimination of $175,000 in annual taxes for a Houston-based service company. In addition, Richard’s corporate finance work has included advising two publicly held companies in their acquisition of other operating companies, and the representation of a client recently acquired by a publicly held company. Other transactions have included business mergers and sales of clients on a smaller scale, with Richard’s involvement being focused on assessing the tax ramifications of transactions in addition to assisting in diligence tasks.
