Mr. Aldrich is a Class II director who has served as a member of the CombinatoRx Board of Directors since June 2003. Mr. Aldrich’s term as a Class II director expires at the 2007 annual meeting of stockholders and Mr. Aldrich has not been nominated for reelection to the Board of Directors. Since 2001, Mr. Aldrich has been a Managing Director of RA Capital, a fund he founded in 2001 to invest in small-cap public biotechnology companies. From 1989 to 2001, Mr. Aldrich was employed by Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. where he served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Business Officer. Mr. Aldrich serves on the Board of Directors of Sirtris Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Mr. Aldrich holds a B.S. degree in management from Boston College and a MBA from the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College. |
