Prior to joining Suss Consulting, Mr. Abbott was Vice President, Professional Services at Bold Concepts, Inc., a Maryland-based 8a company. Mr. Abbott was responsible for creating and developing the company’s professional services business unit. In less than a year the business unit was responsible for generating revenues in excess of $20 million.

Mr. Abbott spent over eight years with Oracle Corporation in various senior business development positions. He retired from Oracle as a Senior Practice Director responsible for business development, capture, delivery and growth of Army and Air Force national practices. During his tenure he was responsible for developing new business in the areas of Air Force maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) systems; Air Force financials; and the execution of major programs which included the Headquarters Marine Corps Data Center. Mr. Abbott was also responsible for supporting prime contractors with Oracle products on important programs such as Global Transportation Network - 21 (GTN-21), Navy ERP, Defense Finance and Accounting Service Document Processing and Payment System (DPPS), and ensuring the certification of Oracle products for application on the Air Force Global Combat Support System (GCSS-AF).

Mr. Abbott also spent more than two decades with the Northrop Grumman Corporation, where he had a key role in establishing and operating the Northrop Grumman Information Technology (NGIT) business unit. As Vice President, Program Management, Mr. Abbot oversaw the generation of more than $295 million in revenue in the business unit’s first two years of operation. He managed the activities of 15 different program managers and 850 program personnel and oversaw the business unit’s implementation of the SEI Level 3 Capability Maturity Model (CMM) for software. Mr. Abbott was instrumental in capturing programs such as D/SIDDOMS and DEIS, while ensuring double digit sales and margin growth, and successfully maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
