Mr. Foote works with the management committee to set firm strategy and is responsible for all marketing and business development activities. Prior to joining Bowditch & Dewey, Mr. Foote was Director of Marketing and Strategy for the Financial Services Practice of Arthur Andersen in New England. Before joining Arthur Andersen, Mr. Foote was Director of Corporate Development at John Hancock Mutual Funds where he was in charge of Market Research, Product Development and Strategic Planning. He also has experience in the eLearning industry, having served as Director of Corporate Development at SkillSoft Corporation and as a strategic marketing consultant for Fund WatchDog Services, an eLearning startup company for mutual fund Boards of Directors. A lawyer by training, Mr. Foote's early career included eleven years as a practicing attorney as in-house counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary for John Hancock Funds and as an enforcement attorney for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Mr. Foote is a former Director of the Association for Corporate Growth, Boston Chapter and a former Vice President of the Speaker's Committee and Member of the Conference and Nominating Committees of this non profit international professional organization focused on corporate growth, corporate development and mergers and acquisitions. He is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
Mr. Foote holds a B.A. from St. Lawrence University and J.D. from Boston College Law School.
