Experience: Rich has over 34 years of public accounting experience including over ten years with one of the international accounting firms. The scope of services he provides includes accounting and review services, audits, tax planning, structuring and compliance, and a variety of business consulting services. He is responsible for engagements performed on behalf of clients in a variety of industries, including construction, home building, real estate development and investment, mortgage firms, light manufacturing, wholesale distribution and health care. Rich also provides support services to law firms in preparing for litigation and serving as an expert witness. He has given presentations on tax legislation, several speeches and continuing education presentations to the banking and healthcare industries and presentations concerning fraud and financial reporting. Other Activities: Rich is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the state and local societies. He has served on the Executive Committee and Litigation Support Services Committee of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants. He has served on the Payment for Services Committee and the Adult Care Residence Committee of the Virginia Health Care Association. Rich is active in many community organizations including acting as former Treasurer and Member of the Board of Directors of the Mid-Atlantic Division of the American Cancer Society. He is a past officer and member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Division of the American Cancer Society and currently serves as a member of the budget and finance commitee of the South Atlantic Division of the American Cancer Society. He formerly served on the School Board of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the St. Francis Home, an assisted living facility |
