Richard Hoffman is a Director at LECG, an international consulting firm. He is a Certified Public Accountant/Accredited in Business Valuation. Prior to joining LECG, he worked as a Director in the Dispute Analysis & Investigation section of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he oversaw Insurance Claims Services for the Western United States. He has over eleven years of consulting experience. His experience has centered around valuations and lost profit calculations. Particularly, he has performed extensive work related to the valuation of intellectual property. He is a frequent lecturer on calculating damages due to the infringement of intellectual property. He has presented to the University of Utah, Utah State Bar Association, Law & Economic Society, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), and various business groups. He has co-authored the training course on calculating intellectual property damages for NACVA. He is a national board member of NACVA’s Litigation Forensics Board. He has testified in a variety of settings, including state court, federal court, arbitration, mediation and bankruptcy court. |
