Richard L. Love, 64, was elected as Director of the Company in September 2002 and is Chairman of the Compensation Committee of the Board, a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee of the Board and a member of the Human Resources Committee of the Board. Since January 2003, Mr. Love has served as Chief Operating Officer of Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), a medical research organization, and from January 2002 to December 2004, he served as a director of ILEX Oncology, an oncology focused pharmaceutical company. From October 1994 to January 2002, Mr. Love served as President and Chief Executive Officer of ILEX Oncology. From 1991 to 1994, he served as Chief Operating Officer of the Cancer Therapy and Research Center, a cancer treatment center focused on the clinical evaluation of new agents. From 1983 to 1991, Mr. Love served as Chief Executive Officer of Triton Biosciences, inc., a biotechnology company. Mr. Love currently serves as a director of ImaRx Therapeutics, Inc., The Molecular Profiling Institute and Systems Medicine, Inc. |
