Richard K. Mitchell, 45, was elected to the position of vice president, Corporate Drilling and E&P Services, in 2006. Mitchell joined Devon in 2003 and previously served as director of Deepwater Drilling and Facilities. Prior to joining Devon, Mitchell spent five years with Ocean Energy Inc., where he served as vice president of International Operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), past Review Chairman of the SPE Drilling Engineering magazine and served as an instructor at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. |
