Richard K. Blaylock, Owner, Director and President of 12 Oaks, brings with him a wealth of experience regarding all aspects of real estate. Mr. Blaylock is a 1981 graduate of Southern Methodist University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and with Certificates of Real Estate and Real Estate Finance & Mortgage Banking. While at SMU, he made his way from a walk-on to a starting position for the football team, earning three varsity letters, as well as one varsity letter as a freshman for track.
After graduation, he assumed a full-time position in Commercial Real Estate Brokerage with Dallas-based Sherwood Blount & Company. He left Blount & Company in 1987 for the opportunity to work with his father at 12 Oaks.
As President of 12 Oaks, Dick’s activities include new business development, finance, acquisition, and oversight of the management team.
He is active in the community and has served as a director for various charitable, civic and business organizations and committees like the Greater Dallas Fellowship of Christian Athletes, The Texas Association of Residential Care Communities and the Park Cities YMCA. While not busy with his duties at 12 Oaks, he enjoys time on the lake or at the ranch.
He and wife, Barbie, have four children and reside in University Park, Texas. They are active members of Northwest Bible Church. |
