Co-chairman and senior member of the Litigation section, Richard has extensive experience in jury trials, bench trials and alternative dispute resolution procedures. He has been actively engaged in the trials of lawsuits for more than 40 years and has handled a wide variety of cases, including disputes involving breach of contract, class actions, construction issues, contested corporate acquisitions, insurance coverage, fraud, products liability (involving chemicals, drugs, asbestos, machinery and aircraft), professional malpractice and securities fraud.
Named among the Top 100 Super Lawyers in Texas, Richard also has been elected to the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and has been designated in Best Lawyers in America in three fields: Business Litigation, Legal Malpractice, and Personal Injury and Civil Litigation. Richard was also named a 2006 Texas "Super Lawyer" in Business Litigation in the Texas Monthly magazine.
