Mr. Wood has over 31 years experience in civil engineering design, environmental engineering, construction inspection/management, project management and project coordination for federal, state and local governments and major government prime contractors. He has an extensive background in providing project management for all types of government facilities as well as directing the design of agricultural wastewater treatment projects. For the past twelve years, Mr. Wood has worked closely in the development of potable water and wastewater effluent from a variety of sources. He works closely with the development of new applications to refine the systems for maintainability and operation. His responsibilities include project coordination, budget tracking, scheduling, permits and applications, regulatory compliance, and marketing. Mr. Wood presently holds eight water treatment related patents.
1988 Present, AJT & Associates, Inc., Environmental Project Director. Mr. Wood’s experience includes management and engineering support for federally funded projects with the full range of engineering disciplines. Specific environmental engineering support has been provided in the areas of asbestos consulting services, environmental and engineering site evaluations and assessments, and hazardous waste (RCRA) identification and handling, including facility and equipment design. Previous projects include the development of designs and specifications for hypergol waste treatment facilities, modifications to a hypergol incinerator facility, hazardous waste storage facilities, and asbestos abatement design. These projects were located both on and off of government property and included permitting and siting requirements of state and federal regulating agencies as well as adherence to NASA/Kennedy Space Center (KSC) regulations. Mr. Wood was responsible for the administration of asbestos consulting services for AJT at Patrick AFB, FL; Dept. of General Services; Dept. of Corrections; and local county government. His responsibilities include the development of plans and specifications for abatement projects and project administration.
1988 Present, AJT & Associates, Inc., Engineering Project Director. Mr. Wood has nine years experience providing engineering design and preliminary engineering reports and studies for a wide variety of civil engineering projects. He has been responsible for multi-disciplined facility modification projects at KSC and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. These projects include review of facility operations and verification of design conformance with regulatory agencies. Additional components include preparation of permit applications, development of scope of work, project scheduling, and budget tracking.
1972 - 1988, EG&G of Florida, Inc., Project Engineer. Mr. Wood was responsible for the preparation of designs, specifications, and associated studies for launch facilities and process systems at KSC, FL and VAFB, CA. Projects included environmental and engineering components for a wide variety of systems and facilities unique to the space program.
Mr. Wood is a 1973 graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is a Licensed Asbestos Consultant (1989 FL EA0000035) and a Professional Engineer in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Colorado. |
