Richard B. Handler has been Chairman of Jefferies Group Inc. since February 2002 and Chief Executive Officer of Jefferies Group Inc. and Jefferies & Company Inc. since January 2001. He also served as Co-President of both entities during 2000. Mr. Handler was elected to the Board of Directors of Jefferies Group Inc. in May 1998 and Jefferies & Company Inc. in May 1993. He was the Managing Director of High Yield Capital Markets at Jefferies & Company Inc. after co-founding that group as an Executive Vice President in April 1990. He is the President of the Jefferies Opportunity Funds and serves on the advisory board of the Wayland Fund of Cargill Financial Services Corporation. Mr. Handler received an MBA from Stanford University in 1987 and a BA in Economics from the University of Rochester in 1983. |
