Richard has practiced with the firm for 46 years. Married to Dixie Ann Mayer for 47 years. Two married children with three grandchildren. Still enjoys skiing in Vail, Colorado, golfing in Scotland and Indiana, and traveling, which has included round the world in 124 days. Richard has been employed as a trial attorney at Spangler, Jennings & Dougherty, P.C. since October of 1961. In addition to court and arbitration trials, Richard has tried at least 300 jury trials resulting in multi-million dollar awards for Spangler, Jennings & Dougherty, P.C. clients, and success defenses of multi-million dollar cases for Spangler, Jennings & Dougherty, P.C. clients. Court and jury trials included personal injury recovery, commercial dispute resolutions, labor dispute and unfair labor practices, municipal annexation, zoning resolutions, contractual disputes, tax litigation, estate litigation, products liability cases, professional litigation involving architectural, engineering and medical malpractice, and insurance defense.
