Mr. Auerbach is co-CEO of the firm and is recognized as one of the nation's leading structured finance lawyers, representing a broad range of financial institutions, investment funds and issuers in the development of innovative liquidity vehicles as well as the acquisition and disposition of financial companies and assets. He has extensive experience advising underwriters and issuers in connection with public and private offerings of asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities, collateralized debt obligations and related interim warehouse financings, whole loan purchases, repurchase agreements and residual financings involving a wide variety of assets, including student loans, prime and non-prime auto loans, auto leases, equipment leases, commercial real estate loans, middle market loans, home equity loans, royalty streams and other intellectual property rights, dealer floor plan receivables, telecommunication receivables, litigation settlement fees, Australian mortgage loans, manufactured housing contracts, recreational vehicle loans, boat loans, home equity loans, credit card receivables and insurance premium finance agreements.
At Columbia Law School, Mr. Auerbach was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, editor for The Journal of Transactional Law, and received a Certificate with honors from the Parker School of International and Comparative Law. Mr. Auerbach was named an International Fellow at Columbia University’s School of International Affairs. He was also elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa at Franklin & Marshall College.
